One of the things I enjoy about music is its rationality and structure. The more I play, the more apparent and important theory becomes to me. For a music theory 101 synopsis, one can't do much better than the very informative circle of fifths article in Wikipedia.

I live in the countryside 20 miles northwest of Cincinnati, OH and am self employed as a chess instructor. I truly appreciate my independence and the opportunity to work with children. I am a latecomer to music, taking on classical violin and Irish/Scottish fiddling at age 50. I have several adopted pets and a great reverence for nature.
